FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
Welcome to the Northwood Club, one of Texas’ finest country clubs and ranked “the best” club in North Texas by AVIDGOLFER three years in a row. A stunning parkland-style golf course, originally designed by William Diddel and recently re-designed by Tripp Davis, is the centerpiece of the overall Northwood package. The course is a fun course for those higher handicappers but is certainly a challenge for those that are more serious about their game. Northwood also boasts a four-hole short course that is a superb environment for learning the game and working on the scoring shots around the green.
The campus also holds what is considered one of the finest racquet facilities and programs around. Featuring 12 HAR-TRU outdoor courts and four indoor courts, we can host any casual game or competition. Northwood’s tennis pros are well-renowned and quite sought after when help and attention are needed for anyone’s game. Plans are also in the works for the addition of dedicated pickleball courts to accommodate the need for this quickly growing sport.
The state-of-the-art fitness and wellness facility sits in between the tennis complex and the stately clubhouse. Outfitted with all of the modern machines, free weights and technology one could want, our wellness facility is employed by knowledgeable certified trainers and spa experts. Overlooking the modern, resort-style pool, the glass-enclosed fitness area offers a magnificent view of the pool, the tennis facility and golf course.
The large clubhouse is welcoming as the interior is warm and inviting without being pretentious. With four restaurant and dining areas in the clubhouse, a full restaurant offering at the pool (in season) and an outdoor café on the course, Northwood offers many food and beverage venues and offerings for its membership. The banquet and meeting rooms are elegant and offer plenty of room for any number of events.
Considered one of the best in the state, Northwood is dedicated to providing exceptional amenities and service. Internally the employees of Northwood work as a team believing that it is everyone’s job to take care of everyone. Unified, the team sets out adapting the motto of the US Merchant Marine Academy, “Acta non Verba,” the staff performs under the mindset of “Deeds not Words.” We do not just say it, we do it!
